To burn body fat you'll need to start on an exercise routine. Exercising every now and then won't give the results you'll get from following an exercise routine that has you working out 4 or 5 days a week. When you start out on an exercise routine to burn fat you may want to do 2 or 3 workouts per week at first. Once you start getting used to exercising you should bump it up to 4 or 5 days a week.

The most popular form of exercise to help burn body fat is cardiovascular, or aerobic exercise. Cardio exercise will require you to breathe and raise your heart rate. This kind of exercise can be done many different ways - jogging, running, working out on on cardio machines, and playing a sport. If you haven't done any cardio exercise in a while and have knee or lower back problems, you may want to walk before you try more intense exercise. Elliptical machines, which you can find out almost any gym, are great for sparing your joints when you exercise to burn body fat.

When you do cardiovascular exercise you'll likely be burning glycogen, which are the stored carbohydrates in your muscles, for the first 15 to 20 minutes of your workouts. Because of this you'll want to do between 30 and 45 minutes of cardio exercise during each session to get to the point where you are burning fat. This means that the best times to do cardio workouts are first thing in the morning before you've eaten or after a weight training workout. If you do your cardio at either of these times you'll be burning more fat at the beginning of your workouts and be in an optimal fat burning state.

Adding some muscle size will give you a boost in your resting metabolic rate so performing a weight training routine will also help you burn body fat. Keep your weight training workouts between 45 minutes and an hour to avoid overtraining and do them 3 or 4 days a week the the entire body split into 2 or 3 workouts.

If you use the right combination of all of the above, you'll succeed at burning that unwanted body fat.
If you want to get rid of that unwanted body fat, you must do things to help burn the fat off. Just eating less calories and carbohydrates per day won't be enough for most people to burn as much fat as they potentially could, and may even lower your
